The Urgency

Although Roe vs. Wade has been overturned, the battle is now at the state level. Abortion is currently legal in Michigan under a temporary injunction and voters will make the final decision in November. The hard truth is, whether abortion is legal or illegal in Michigan, young pregnant women need OUR HELP more now than ever!

Why? Because the landscape of abortion is changing. During 2020, the number of abortions rose for the first time in 30 years! Medical abortions sky-rocketed during the pandemic as women were able to skip regular medical appointments and could easily obtain the “abortion pills” via “tele-medical” appointments or by mail ordering them from foreign pharmaceutical companies. Babies are being aborted at home and in dorm rooms around the United States without ANY physical examination or ultrasound to confirm pregnancies. Medical abortions now account to well over 65% of all abortions and this number continues to increase. There is a sense of urgency here. We have got to do something to help women now!

It is time to find new and creative ways to reach abortion vulnerable women. This is what “Delivering Hope” is all about. Instead of waiting for women to come to us, we will be able to go to them with a mobile medical unit providing free ultrasounds, pregnancy tests and medically-based pregnancy counseling. This vehicle will literally reach hundreds of young women in unplanned pregnancies. Even more encouraging is that the mobile unit will have the abortion pill reversal on board! With this pro-life ministry on wheels, it can go directly to where it's needed - in front of the abortion clinics in East Lansing and Ann Arbor and driving around our college campuses. It will be a place where women will learn the truth about their pregnancies and where hearts will be changed!
